Hobbiton & Waitomo caves

Hobbiton & Waitomo caves is one of New Zealand's must see attractions. Hobbiton is great if your a fan of the movies and Waitomo the best choice for natural beauty exploring the glow-worm caves or action packed black water rafting activities.

Allow 8 hours for one option or 12 hours for the combo.

Tours from the Shires Rest or Waitomo start at 09:00 to 16:30 364 days of the year rain or shine.

Travel time from Auckland is 2.5 hours each direction with 90 minutes driving time between Hobbiton & Waitomo. For 14:30 wake-up call's I recommend only one attraction or if your on the new long haul Emirates overnight service you can do the combo in one day.
